Honorable President,

I, a citizen of India speak on behalf of me and my entire family when I say that we are profoundly shocked and flabbergasted at the recent recommendations made by The National Commission of Women (NCW) and other participating members in a conference organized by the NCW on Alimony and Maintenance laws in National Law School Bangalore. The recommendations are articulated below with the name of the person who recommended the same.

To
Honorable Prime Minister of India
Dr. Manmohan Singh

Sub: Recommendations on choosing the new chairperson for the National Commission for Women

Honorable Sir,

The primary reason that can be attributed to the phenomenal destruction of the Indian family system in the last 6 years or so it is the militant feminists that have been at the helm at the National Commission for women and the WCD ministry. These women themselves are mostly divorced or spinsters and have never experienced the happiness of a joint family system and as a result do not feel the need for other people to experience the same.

To,

The Honorable Minister for Law and Justice
Dr M Veerapa Moily,
Ministry of Law & Justice,
4th Floor, A-Wing, Shastri Bhavan
New Delhi - 110 001.

Sub: Paying maintenance to qualified and empowered women for short marriages must be stopped with immediate effect.

Honorable Minister,

Ordering maintenance to a qualified woman voluntarily incapacitating herself after a short marriage just to extract money from her husband is a nothing but a judicially imposed system of involuntary servitude wherein one human being is placed within the bondage to another one as long as the maintenance term is ordered. I feel that it is every husband’s responsibility to provide for child support however paying maintenance to qualified women in childless marriages who voluntarily incapacitate themselves must be stopped outright.
