Aamir Khan’s hypocrisy and half truths in Satyameva Jayate.

In the latest episode of a Sunday prime time TV program called “Satyameva Jayate”, actor Aamir Khan perpetrated very serious gender stereotypes, “all women are victims and all men are aggressors” and only women face domestic violence.

Satyameva Jayate means “Truth alone triumphs, not falsehood”. Now, falsehood also means lies that are known as “half truths”.

Aamir Khan did not showcase any story of any male victim of domestic violence? One wonders, if 50% to 80% of women in India are facing domestic violence, then why 2 times more married men compared to married women are committing suicide?

Because, it is scientifically established truth that women intiate 2/3rd of all domestic violence in the world and they constantly abuse and harass men. In Mahabharata Ganga perpetrated domestic violence on Santanu and in Ramayana, Sita called Lakshmana a pervert wishing death of her husband to have sex with her. In today’s world, women slap men, beat and bite men call him a “bastard”. A man called the domestic violence helpline run by us and was crying. He said,”my wife is calling my mother a whore and her brother is threatening that he will get my young sister raped. What can I do?”

Well, when we set out to do our research on domestic violence, this is precisely what we found. One section of society was physically beating up and assaulting another, there seemed to be a civil war like situation out there, only there was no Rapid Action Force to stop the violence. Two separate studies, one by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and another by the Planning Commission, showed that anywhere between 40 per cent-80 per cent of women in India are victims of domestic violence. Let’s take a conservative middle figure of say 50 per cent. That’s a huge percentage of women! And I’m afraid these figures don’t speak very well of us men.

Civil War? Really!!

As far as the studies by Ministries, they are actually studies by radical feminist agencies inside parliament and NGOs. These studies are manufactured. If they really wanted to do any “scientific research”, not research by Arts Graduates, then they would have collected data for both male and female victims of domestic violence. They would have also conducted studies on women on women and men on men domestic violence. They would have also considered violence against children by mother or father as domestic violence, because it happens within 4 walls of a house.

The Ministries and Aamir Khan consider only any minor violence like slapping against young women in the reproductive ages of 15 to 49 as domestic violence. If a daughter in law beats her mother-in-law and calls her a whore, then it is not domestic violence against the old lady because she is above 49 years of age. If a woman beats her child or minor child servant in her house, then according the Aamir Khan, it is not domestic violence.

Aamir Khan is seriously misleading people by using lies and half truths in the name of seeking truth. With these disgusting half truths, he has moved miles away from any Satya (divine truth) and seriously misused the divine phrase “Truth alone triumphs”. This will karmically backfire on Aamir Khan in due course of time.” We will certainly wait for that day and we promise, we will bring it in front of people of the world.
